Thread have completed an NLHF funded project for the Ffestiniog and Welsh highland railway - the oldest narrow-gauge heritage railway line running through this UNESCO slate landscape, transporting slate to Porthmadog. We have been tasked with rebuilding the missing buildings for storage and workshop space, creating facilities for volunteers and are to refine requirements for reuse and construction of new buildings on Boston Lodge site.

Most notably this site has been inaccessible to visitors to date, meaning health and safety implementation is a major factor here. As important as the story of how the railway and the industry around it developed.
